Meet the WHAM Lab Team

Dr. Katherine Dowdell is an Assistant Professor of environmental engineering at the University of Utah. She obtained her PhD in Environmental Engineering from the University of Michigan, where she specialized in drinking water engineering and opportunistic pathogens. Prior to her PhD, she received her BS and MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Colorado, Boulder and worked for several years in environmental engineering consulting. She has been a licensed Civil Engineering in California since 2015. Dr. Dowdell has received several national fellowships, including the US National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship and the Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Biology.
